Running out of lyrics...

Up till now my title's were song lyrics, yet today I can't think of any. I'm getting over a sickness and becoming a bit more active after two days. The night before i got really sick i decided that i was gonna right about the "rascist" monkey cartoon in the New York Post. But today that doesnt seem to matter as much. It's amazing how a few days can change your will to write something. Oh well. Here is to hoping for health....

"No, no, no, it ain't me, babe,

It ain't me you're lookin' for, babe.." Sometimes I miss this music, alot. Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Elvis. I mean dont get me wrong I love modern Music and people just keep coming out with amazing music but that old school first generation rock and roll sound just isnt out there anymore. It was great to have a movie like Walk The Line come out and just re-do a lot of those songs in the same style they were originally done in. I want an entire re-energizing of that genre. People like Joaquin Pheonix and Reese Witherspoon to just go to town, even if they wanted to go find an entire team of musician's loyal to the cause. Some might call the sound I'm looking for as country, but its not. This New-Fangled Country music is no good. Kenney Chesney and these other bands. Taylor Swift and whatever. Not GOOD! But this old school stuff, theseperation of country and rock that is the true music.

Johnny Cash February 26, 1932 - September 12, 2003

Buddy Holly September 7, 1936 – February 3, 1959

Elvis Presley January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977

"I've been waiting

i've been waiting for this moment all my life" I'm really unsure of what to write today. I want to write something but I'm not sure where to begin or end. And i have NO idea what to but in the middle. Right now i'm fluctuating between happiness and a kind of low self-esteem incurred depression. I dont know why. I have no reason to be. Me and my girl are getting along just fine. I'm not fighting with any friends.. but still.. It's "not quite right"... I'm ready to sit in silence and as the song goes:

"I've been waiting for this silence all night long..."

"You can break my fall..

or You can sit back watching.." I wasnt gonna post again today, but somethings have to be said. I've been through nearly every relationship problem in the book. Eating disorders, suicidal tendancies, sex and cheating, crazy chicks and clingy chicks. I got this girl and i thought she was perfect for me. But, probably through no fault but my own, i feel left out all the time. Like if I didnt coordinate so perfectly with her schedule (cheer, tv club, ect) that i might get forgotten, lost in a way. It's not her fault, maybe more the fault of ex-girlfriends who fucked with my head by twisting my perceptions into believing that a relationship is something you should be dependent on to be happy. For once i have a girl that has an independent life, and its odd. But oh well i guess. Cuz i love her and im not gonna let her go that easily.

"There's something on my mind,

and I can't express myself tonight." Have you ever had somthing on your chest that you just can't let loose? This used to hit me all the time, and it would stress me out to extreme ends. But. Now. It's different, i'm trying to be mopre open with certain people and trying to be less influenced by people i DONT trust. I think it'sreally making a difference in what kind of person I am. I have new friends this year, and they are very accepting of me and i still have some old friends who continue to stick nearby even through all of the changes i'm making about myself. I'm happier, more creative then ever and now i feel like i have a pretty promising and fun future ahead of me. All my stress is quickly falling away. Suddenly I can express myself, and people are actually understanding more.

So chin up...

"So chin up and we'll drown a little slower.." Sometimes i really do try to live my life by lyric from The Wonder Years. It's like, shit happens but what else can you do but try to keep pushin through it. Eventually things gt better. I had a friend today who had a miserable birthday last year. So today was her birthday and my Creative Writing class kinda threw a make-shift party for her (cake and all) and she was the happiest I have seen her.. ever. I think we all felt really good about it and it just proved that doing good things for people makes you feel good too (go figure). Although being an ass to people seems to make me feel good too some times. So all in all i guess you just gotta do both to people.. keep them guessing.. be unpredictable... be spontaneous.. give someone a hug today then slap them across the face. First they're sour, then they're sweet.

DAMIAN

My name is Damian. I'm a Senior in North Penn High School. The name of my blog is loosely base on a great song by a band called The Wonder Years. I really don't quite know how to go about writing this. My interests are mainly artistic, as in music and writing. I'm less into the painting/drawing but that's only because I have never had a knack it. (Thanks for those genes mom and dad) I hope that in future posts I'll have things better said. But today I seem unable to write. I've actually run into this issue all day. My Creative Writing teacher had wanted us to write about a dream we've had. Now aside from the fact that I am unable to remember 95% of my dreams, i was having great difficulty simply thinking of anything to write. I tried to write about the depression that comes to me with winter and i got a little bit done with that. Then i just simply ran out of thoughts on that topic. I switched to the classic topic of writing about having nothing to write about. So, "I hope that i run out of ink before i run out of words, if not simply to be able to speak till tomorrow." Not my best writing but it will have to do.
